Our Trial Session also includes a Q&A with Serena to identify and discuss the needs and desired outcomes for your students and educators. 

During our trial session, your students will engage in some of the following:

  • Meditative breathing practices and sensory strategies to calm their minds and bodies

  • Yoga session with challenging and engage poses and sequences

  • Stories and games to engage support their emotional regulation

  • A specialised dance lesson in hip hop, world dance, contemporary, jazz or a free flow class.

Who we are

  • We are a Canberra based mindfulness program, implementing wellbeing through movement, mindfulness activities and tailored programs to suit the needs of educators and children in schools. At MEDY, we believe in helping teachers facilitate a culture of mindfulness through movement and meditation, embedding a practice to support children to develop their inner voice, build confidence and autonomy. 

So what does MEDY mean?

MEDY stands for Mindful Education through Dance and Yoga.

Providing children with the space and tools to build confidence, resilience and emotional regulation through a range of movement and specially designed activities. Mindfulness, Yoga and Dance are key ingredients in supporting and promoting confidence, self love, calmness and emotional regulation, which is especially vital in the growing and evolving brain.

Starting with a few minutes each day and growing to using yoga and dance as a natural part of your daily routine will provide more mindful experiences for you and your students. 

Why should MEDY be implemented?

MEDY is a movement, and I want to revolutionise the way we think about and approach teaching and learning. It is creating a culture of mindfulness, positivity and confidence through regular practice, implementation and a willingness to change the way we engage and support our students.

We aim to help you deepen and strengthen the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of both students and educators. Ideas and practices are interwoven through integrated programs to support all year levels in an engaging and flexible way. 

Founder and Instructor

Serena Cramond

Serena has had a vision to support children's social, emotional and physical wellbeing through movement and mindfulness for over 10 years. She and her husband Mathew began this journey, building a business to support educators back in 2015. Since then, it has evolved from an online platform to personal, in school support, supporting children and educators in better understanding their emotions, behaviours and bodies.
