Mindful Yogis

Mindful Yogis sessions are targeted at High School adolescents, focusing on helping them to build a sense of wellbeing and emotional regulation.

  • Overview

  • Each week, students will be guided through a range of meditative breathing exercises, poses to challenge and strengthen their mind and body, and activities that can build confidence, improve concentration and calm emotions. 

    Through regular implementation of meditation, breathing techniques and yoga practice, children may begin to make links between their thoughts, emotions and behaviours.

    They will begin to understand how their emotions and actions affect others as well as how to calm their minds and bodies in stressful situations. 

    These sessions can be tailored to suit the needs of each school and group of students. With the choice of mixed sessions, girls or boys, we can support the personal developmental needs of all children to assist them in navigating the world around them. 


  • Occupational Therapy links to Yoga

  • The focus of OT support for children is to help them build strength through gross and fine motor skills, sensory processing, attention and behaviour regulation and social skills.

    Regular mindfulness activities practised routinely and correctly, even in short durations, can greatly improve children's focus, core strength, proprioception and engagement, as well as support wellbeing and relationships.

  • Our yoga and meditation sessions are directly linked to the Australian Curriculum, integrated into a range of content descriptors and Social Emotional Learning.

  • -Understand personal and social growth

    -Identify and describe key mindfulness strategies and how to use them

    -Improve body control and coordination

    -Develop skills to manage emotions in a range of experiences

    -Refine and build confidence in a range of body movement and strength poses

  • Incursion Options and Requirements

  • Program length 

    Single, 5 or 10 week programs are available depending on your requirements. Each session will run for 45-60 minutes.

    Minimum Students

    Ideal class size is 20-25 however, this is flexible. Minimum 2 session booking per day.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

    • SPACE REQUIREMENTS

    • Regular access to a hall, gymnasium or large class space, depending on number of students. 

    • SET UP TIME

    • Our staff will arrive 30-45 minutes before the start time to set up.

    • TEACHER PRESENCE 

    • Teachers must be present during each session as per the teacher-student ratio.

    • PAYMENTS

    • A minimum 75% deposit must be made 7 days from the date of booking for your incursion to go ahead..

    • INVOICE

    • You will be invoiced in accordance to your normal student numbers.

    • CUSTOMISATION

    • Our programs are tailored to suit all age groups and can be modified to suit the needs of both your students and school’s focus.
