Our half day mindfulness retreat is aimed at Canberra based school teachers and educators who are looking to implement yoga, meditation and mindfulness activities into their classrooms as well as engaging in a relaxing and calming yoga session.
Do you need to re-set and re-focus as you wind up the year? Are you wanting to implement mindfulness and wellbeing practices into your weekly classroom routines but not sure where to start? Are you looking to build a culture of calm, support emotional regulation and improve focus and confidence for your students?
This retreat is just what you need to refresh, recharge and begin your journey to creating a more mindful classroom experience for yourself and your students. And if nothing else, it is a great way to relax and refresh!
To start the retreat, you will engage in a calming, all abilities yoga session to relax and recharge, ready to focus and begin our mindfulness journey.
We will then move into learning about the theory and evidence based practice of implementing yoga and mindfulness into your classroom routines, and how this cultivates competencies in mind-body health. You will gain insight into simple and easy to implement strength, flexibility and balance poses to engage and challenge your students, while teaching them to focus on their breathing, calm their mind and understand their emotions.
To close the session, we will end with some meditation to calm your mind and body, light refreshments and a Q&A to answer any questions or further enquiries you may have.
You will also receive a range of resources and sample lessons you can implement into your daily or weekly routines, and how to integrate these ideas across curriculum areas.

Never engaged in yoga or meditation before? That's ok! Our yoga session supports all ability levels and all poses and movements can be adapted to meet all physical abilities.
You will need to bring a yoga mat, towel and water. At the end of the session we will provide a light lunch and refreshments. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements when booking. We do have a few spare yoga mats for those who are unable to bring one.
The aim of the Mini Wellbeing Retreat is to provide teachers with some easy to implement strategies and activities to support your students wellbeing through mindfulness, meditation and movement. Our school sessions and practices are evidence based and have been proven to positively impact student focus, confidence, emotional regulation and engagement with others. In addition to this, by engaging in a yoga and meditation session, you will gain a sense of calm for your personal mind and body, to relax and rejuvenate as you continue on your Term 4 journey!
This retreat is aimed at educators and all school staff in all year levels from childcare through highschool. Whether you are a classroom teacher, support children with additional learning needs, work in leadership or are a relief teacher, this retreat will support you in improving your wellbeing and the wellbeing of the children and staff you work with. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Can't make the date of this retreat due to prior commitments? No worries! We will be offering additional retreats to accommodate the many educators who will want to attend! Additionally, we offer In-School retreats and professional development sessions to meet your needs. Contact us to book or for additional information.
